The Armstrong Family - Huntington, Texas

"I can see myself in my boys every day!"

Josey Armstrong learned how to ride before she could walk. She also learned how to work cows, drive tractors, and do whatever her grandmother asked her to do - no questions asked.

Now that she has boys of her own, Josey is teaching them the same lessons she learned, on the same land where she grew up. The boys are outside from sunrise to sundown, just like she was at their age.

That sense of legacy, of keeping family on generational land, is what brought Josey and her husband, Chance, to Heritage Land Bank in the first place. when Josey and Chance shared their perspective on how they wanted their boys to grow up, all of us at Heritage Land Bank got to work.

We wrote the Armstrongs a fixed rate loan followed by a second loan when some adjoining land became available. And, then a third loan when they wanted to make improvements to the new place. The combined land gives twins Logan and Bryce plenty of room to roam and be free-range kids.

Now, as Josey sees more of herself in her boys every day, she also realizes what her grandmother saw in her. And, Chance and Josey's boys better understand the importance of owning land and just how good they have it.
