Fort Worth, Texas (February 20, 2019) – Heritage Land Bank purchased the Grand Champion Lamb for $51,000 from Shallowater 4-H student, Hudson Franklin at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo (FWSSR) February 9, 2019.

“We share the same passion for ranching and livestock that these students do,” said David Milhollon, Fort Worth Branch Manager for Heritage Land Bank. “It’s imperative that we continue supporting the community through events like the Sale of Champions.”

Heritage Land Bank also purchased from FWSSR’s Sale of Champions in 2018 when they won the Breed Champion, American Hereford. The land bank continues to purchase animals and support the youth that wants to become part of the agricultural industry.

“This is what Cowtown is all about,” said Jack Pullen, Heritage Land Bank board member. “There’s nothing better than watching a young man like Hudson see all of his hard work pay off in the Sale of Champions.”

Last year Heritage Land Bank attended more than 15 different livestock shows throughout North and East Texas, where they supported other young men and women like Hudson.
