Tyler, Texas – As part of its ongoing support of area youth, Heritage Land Bank is pleased to announce the winners of its 2019 scholarship program for graduating high school seniors. Each of the four students selected will receive $2,500 towards their 2019-2020 freshman year at their chosen college or university.

Selection of the four qualifying scholarship winners was based on merit, including scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities, and leadership qualities. Each student also submitted a written on how they would use the scholarship to advance their post-secondary education.

“At Heritage Land Bank, we feel a particular obligation toward these young men and women because they’re the ones who will shape our future.  I believe there are plenty of bright, focused and driven young people in Texas. However, I also know that a lack of financial assistance too often keeps these young men and women from pursuing their dreams,” said CEO Bill Tandy. “That’s why we do what we do!”
