Stephen Ogletree
Chief Executive Officer
Stephen R. Ogletree is a 33 year veteran of the Farm Credit System, and a native of Garland, Texas. After graduating from Rice University in 1973 with a bachelor’s degree in Commerce, he began his Farm Credit career as a Loan Officer for Tyler Production Credit Association in Tyler. He later accepted a position as Credit Reviewer with the Farm Credit Bank of Texas in 1980, and then moved on as President of Valley Production Credit Association in 1982. He returned to the Farm Credit Bank of Texas in 1984 as a Regional Vice President, but later decided that East Texas was where he wanted to raise his family. In 1985, he returned to Tyler and accepted the position of CEO and President for Tyler Production Credit Association, and then as CEO of the merged association forming AgriLand Farm Credit Services in 1999. In 2006, he accepted the position as CEO of Heritage Land Bank.
Jenny Sloan
Chief Financial Officer
Jenny Sloan grew up in the Houston area. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting, she accepted employment as a staff auditor with the accounting firm, Ernst & Young, LLP. While employed with Ernst & Young, she received her certification as a public accountant (CPA). In April 1995, she began employment with Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union as a financial analyst. While at Southwest Corporate, she was promoted to assistant controller. In August 1998, Sloan relocated to the Tyler area with her family and was hired by Heritage Land Bank as the controller in June 1999. On January 1, 2000, she was promoted to her present position as chief financial officer and senior vice president.
Robert A. Echols
Chief Credit Officer
Robert Echols grew up on a crop and cattle farm in Delta County, Texas. His involvement in agriculture has continued throughout his life. He and his entire family are very active with local livestock shows and the youth in his community. Echols holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in agriculture, economics and finance from East Texas State University, now known as Texas A&M – Commerce. He began his career with the Farm Credit System in July of 1973 with the Federal Land Bank Association of Tyler’s office in Nacogdoches. He subsequently held positions with the association in Henderson and Tyler. Echols accepted a position with the Federal Land Bank of McKinney as president in July 1983. The McKinney association merged with Federal Land Bank of Tyler in October 1998. Echols served as senior vice president and branch manager of Heritage’s McKinney office until January 2003 at which time he became the association’s Quality Assurance Officer. On October 1, 2005, he was promoted to Chief Credit Officer.
